Luis Suarez is delighted strike-partner Andy Carroll is now getting important goals for Liverpool.

The Reds are in today's FA Cup final thanks to Carroll's semifinal winner against Everton.

Suarez told liverpoolfc.tv: "It was great that it was Andy as he's been doing so much for the team and it was just what he needed, to get a goal like that, and it made it a truly incredible day.

"It was a spectacular moment after Andy's goal, just being out there on the pitch was great, especially since it was at Wembley and it was the winner right at the end of the game against our local rivals Everton.

"I think the first thing that went through my mind when the referee blew his whistle was that it was another final for Liverpool.

"I think the club really deserves to be in another final, as although the league form has been disappointing, I think that our performances in the Cup deserved to be rewarded, so it was unbelievable just how happy we all were after the game."
