Stuttgart defender Fernando Meira is quiet on interest from Portsmouth.

"All I know is what I have read in the papers. I have not spoken to the English club," the 29-year-old told skysports.com.

Stuttgart have also confirmed they have not received any approach for the defender.

"We have received no formal offer for Meira. At this moment this is only a rumour," said a club spokesman.
