Stuttgart are weighing up a move for Liverpool winger Albert Riera.

The Spaniard is a certainty to leave Anfield this summer after a host of outbursts have left manager Rafa Benitez seething, and now it seems that the Bundesliga club are prepared to offer the midfielder an escape route.

According to the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper, the German side, managed by former Spurs boss Christian Gross, have shortlisted Riera to fill the void on their left flank.
