Russian international Pavel Pogrebnyak is set to join Premier League newcomers Reading according to Sky Sports.
The 28-year old Stuttgart striker spent six months on loan with Fulham last season and it appeared that he was going to sign permanently with the Cottagers but he has been unable to come to an agreement with the Southwest London club.
Now it is believed that he could sign a four-year contract with the Championship-winning Royals, who were recently taken over by Russian businessman Anton Zingarevich, with the deal close to being complete.
