Manchester United striker Federico Macheda could stay at Stuttgart beyond the end of his current loan spell.

Macheda is on-loan in Germany to the end of the season.

Stuttgart sports director Fredi Bobic told Bild: "We have a gentleman's agreement with United but we have not yet found the time to meet. We will clarify this in private."
