Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is of great belief that Daniel Sturridge will be a top signing for the club.
The 23-year old forward scored his first Premier League goal for the Reds in Sunday's 2-1 loss at Manchester United, adding to his debut goal in the FA Cup against Mansfield Town last weekend, and Rodgers has supreme confidence about his ability.
"You have seen from a half appearance today and 55 last weekend that this boy is a goalscorer and what he needed was an opportunity," he said of the £12million purchase from Chelsea.
"He got one goal and was unlucky with a couple of opportunities. He is going to be a terrific signing for us."
