Daniel Sturridge was full of praise for god after he helped Liverpool progress to the quarter-finals off the EFL Cup.
The striker netted a brace as the Reds got past Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Anfield to advance to the final eight of the league cup competition.
The goals were Sturridge's first for the Merseyside club since late August and he was delighted to contribute to such a vital victory.
"It's a nice feeling (to be back), but I'm grateful to god for helping me get through all the things I've had to go through and I'm happy with tonight," he said on Sky Sports.
"We had a lot of chances, we played some good football, so I think we deserved it in the end."
