Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was pleased to start and score a brace in the 2-1 EFL Cup fourth-round win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old was handed a rare start by manager Jurgen Klopp as he made 11 changes to the side that defeated West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Sturridge said on Sky Sports: "When you have a lot of time when you're through one-on-one, it can be easier sometimes. It's difficult if you think too much.
"The first one was instinctive – I thought he was going to pass it before and I just tried to react to his shot. Luckily, I got the break."
