Sturridge injured but we still have Firmino, Origi and Benteke - Liverpool boss Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that he has a wealth of options to choose from in attack despite the injury to Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool were dealt another blow this week after it was revealed that Sturridge had been struck by another injury and faces a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Despite the absence of Sturridge, Klopp is not losing any sleep and has stated that the likes of Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Christian Benteke are all more than capable of filling the void left by the England international.

Ahead of Thursday night's Europa League clash with FC Sion, Klopp said: "We have Roberto (Firmino) too who can also play that position and that's a good situation. I am not sure Christian and Divock can play that good to make everyone stop asking questions about Daniel – you asked me four questions about him and he's not even here!

"I won't make pressure for them. I won't say: 'Take your chance or leave'. We have to work together. And it is really intensive, so this part of the week from Sunday to Thursday it feels like four weeks.

"After the game we have recovery, and when you come back on a Friday it is really short ahead of a Sunday game. To be prepared again it is not easy. As always you have to think of two things: one is rhythm, which is really important, and the other is rest.

"But rhythm sometimes in football is more important that rest. The boys are in good shape – nobody could see it at Newcastle of course, but they are and we have to use this. The team on Thursday night is not our team because of Newcastle or West Brom, it is a team to win against Sion."
