Daniel Sturridge admits he continues to give advice to Raheem Sterling.
The 20-year-old winger left Liverpool to join Manchester City in the summer and despite it being a controversial transfer, Sterling is still held in high esteem by his former Reds teammates.
One in particular is striker Sturridge who is a great source of motivation for young players such as Jordon Ibe and his old pal Sterling even though he now plies his trade for a Premier League rival.
"I have to do it. Raheem is another of my brothers, and I used to tell him the same stuff, that he has to take his game to the next level," Sturridge said on Soccer AM.
"I'd never take credit for Raheem moving to Man City or Jordon for playing week in week out, but I still keep in contact with Raheem and tell him well done when he does well.
"It doesn't matter if he plays for Liverpool, Man City or whoever, it's about being friends and trying to help them be the best they can be at life."
