The duo of Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino look set to miss the midweek EFL Cup encounter against Derby County.
Firmino missed the 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Friday night with a groin problem while Sturridge was subbed off on the 56th minute during the clash at Stamford Bridge due to an apparent injury.
Now in an update to the fitness status of the duo, the Liverpool Echo have claimed that both Sturridge and Firmino were missing from Liverpool's training session on Sunday ahead of Tuesday's third round meeting with Derby and the two attacking players now look set to miss the clash at the iPro Stadium.
Brazilian ace Firmino has been in fine form with three goals in five outings of are this season while Sturridge netted a brace in the 5-0 win over Burton Albion in the second round of the league cup.
