The stunning Manchester City debut of Sergio Aguero has heaped pressure on Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Florentino refused to push through a deal for Aguero while he was still with Atletico Madrid - this despite El Kun going to war with the club and fans over his very public statements about wanting to play for Real.
El Mundo Deportivo says Real directors, many on the board, blame Florentino for cocking up the transfer due to his insistence on keeping to the 'non-hostile' pact with Atletico over their players.
Those close to the president say he knows the pressure on his reign will only increase should Real stutter at the start of this season and Aguero continue to shine for City.
Indeed, one confidant warned Perez, "No-one will forgive you," should Real finish the season potless.
