Serbia are chasing Stoke City striker Bojan Krkic.
While he has been capped by Spain, there is a FIFA ruling that would allow Krkic to declare for another country.
Nase Ergonovine says Krkic's father is now exploring family documents to see if his son can declare for Serbia. The Greece FA are also in touch.
Krkic has had no contact with the Serbian federation (FSS), but he would like to meet with Serbia coach Dick Advocaat to discuss the situation.
The striker signed for Stoke from Barcelona over the summer and has impressed in the early weeks of the season.
