The Jonathan Ross Show did a re-take of their interview with QPR veteran Rio Ferdinand because it was deemed 'too negative', it has been revealed.
The Mirror says the initial take of his interview with chat show host Ross, Ferdinand said he would not rule out hanging up his boots in January.
Ross and the show's producers felt the revelation that his days were numbered in the Premier League was too negative at the start of the interview and so the show was stopped and Ferdinand went off stage and returned a few minutes later to begin it again.
And in an amazing move for a show seeking to break news, Ross moved to 'protect' the former Manchester United defender, focusing on Ferdinand's career highlights before turning to his future plans.
