Manchester City have joined the battle for Real Madrid fullback Danilo.
Brazilian sources suggested last night that Chelsea were in advanced talks to sign the defender.
However, TMW says City are now in contact and have made a counter offer. The Manchester giants were forced into the battle after being snubbed by Daniel Alves, who was undergoing a PSG medical yesterday.
Real president Florentino Perez is prepared to sell for €30m and Danilo's agent is in England today for talks with City and Chelsea officials.
The Brazil international has also been linked with a switch to Italy, but his focus is now on moving to the Premier League this summer.
