Stubbs: Everton coaching job ideal for me

Alan Stubbs says his new coaching job with Everton's academy is ideal.

Stubbs revealed to evertonTV: "I am going to be working mainly with Taff (Andy Holden, reserve team manager) with the reserves. I might be doing bits watching the under 18s and under 16s as well.

"It's a perfect move. It's a great opportunity to get my foot on the bottom of the ladder. I am at the bottom working my way up."

Having taken up his role this week, Stubbs explained that he has been warmly welcomed back into the fold at Finch Farm.

"I am really looking forward to it," he continued, "It's going to be a different challenge for me.

"The lads have had the usual banter; Ossie said he didn't realise we had a new kitman! But it's all quietened down now and it's great to be back amongst them."
