Stroppy Klopp: We stay up, West Brom go down - yet they're happy?!

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp threw a wobbler after their 2-2 draw at West Brom.

Klopp, in an attempt to explain the two dropped points, complained about both the state of the pitch and Albion's threat from set pieces in an odd post-match sulk.

However, he did at least acknowledge that he wouldn't have mentioned the pitch if Liverpool had won.

"I think if you are the better team, you should win," said Klopp. "We are the better team, we didn't win. I don't feel that that point will help West Brom massively.

"It feels like a complete waste of points, they don't need it, we would have needed it.

"They are all happy now, we are not happy. We stay in the league, they don't stay in the league. It's kind of a strange situation.

"I am a big football fan. You have to to do everything to create the best circumstances for all the boys to deliver.

"You let the home team decide if they water the pitch or not – it's not only football. It's also dangerous for injuries if the pitch is really dry.

"To be 100%, I would have said nothing about that probably if we had won. But it's all what you see during the game."
