Stroppa never considered leaving Pescara

Giovanni Stroppa insists he's never considered his future at Pescara.

The coach eased pressure on himself with victory over Parma on Sunday.

Some newspapers have suggested that Stroppa was planning to resign at the final whistle as an act of defiance against the club.

"I never even thought of that," said Stroppa.

"It would've been too easy after a victory and with the team out of the relegation zone. But seeing as I have never abandoned a situation when there is difficulty, and having been more than in the balance before the game with Parma, of course I wouldn't have done something like that.

"I have to be grateful to President Sebastiani, because if it wasn't for him then perhaps I would no longer be the Coach of Pescara."
