Kilmarnock boss Mixu Paatelainen is trialling strikers Cedric Roussel and Basile Camerling. Belgian striker Roussel, formerly of Coventry and Wolves, spent a week training with Dundee United three seasons ago.
Paatelainen is hoping to land the 32 year old on a free transfer while he is also looking at ex-Nancy frontman Basile Camerling.
The Finn is eager to bolster his attacking options after losing the likes of Alan Russell, David Fernandez, Mark Burchill and Kevin Kyle.
"Since the start of pre-season, adding a striker has been a priority," said Paatelainen.
"We don't have a lot of money so we've got to make sure it's right."
