Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly held talks with a pair of prime strike candidates.
According to The Sun, the Frenchman has spoken with both Everton and Lyon regarding Romelu Lukaku and Alexandra Lacazette as he continues his hunt for a quality goalscorer.
It is understood that Wenger has met with the respective clubs of the players as well as their representatives.
Arsenal went after Jamie Vardy earlier this summer but the England international opted to remain with Leicester City, forcing the Gunners to look elsewhere.
Wenger wants to land a new striker before the North London club heads off on their pre-season tour of the USA later this month.
An Arsenal source told The Sun: "Arsene is keen to get a new striker in as soon as possible, but won't rush anything and overspend.
"Olivier Giroud is very much in his plans, but he wants to get someone in and was upset about losing out on Jamie Vardy."
Belgium international Lukaku, 23, would cost Arsenal as much as £75million while 25-year-old Frenchman Lacazette's fee would be closer to £40m.
