Liverpool are still on the lookout for a couple of new signings according to manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Anfield club have already bought in goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, defender Kolo Toure and attackers Luis Alberrto and Iago Aspas but Rodgers feels there is room for a quality striker and perhaps even a left-back in his squad this summer.
"There's certain areas within the squad where we are a bit thinner than we are in other areas," he said on the club's pre-season tour of Australia.
"We could do with a bit more support at the top end of the field and that is something we are looking for. It's not really about numbers, it's about quality and we still think there are a few players we want to get of the right sort of quality.
"Cover at the left-back position is certainly something we are looking at and we want that extra bit of quality at the top end of the field."
