Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni was delighted with victory over AC Milan.
Giampiero Pinzi and Emmanuel Badu struck twice in the 2-1 win for Udinese.
Strama said: "Today Udinese proved what we can do, putting in our best home performance of the season and winning deservedly.
"We've had too many peaks and troughs this term. The squad has to remain humble and this was an important step forward.
"The club has bet on me and I always give my all. I have a contract that expires in 2016 and I believe in the Udinese project.
"Of course it was like a little derby for me, as I spent so many years at Inter, but always with great respect for Milan.
"If you let the Rossoneri pass the ball, then you struggle, but intensity causes them problems."
