Straka giving all North Queensland Fury players an opportunity

New North Queensland Fury coach Franz Straka says he will give all squad members an opportunity to push for a starting position when they take on Papa New Guinea club Hekari United.

The Fury take on the PNG champions at Brolga Park tomorrow and the Czech coach said it is a great chance for his players to push themselves in to starting line-up calculations for the upcoming A-League season.

"I'm looking for further improvement, both in terms of the quality of our football and the intensity in which we play it, while giving all members of the squad the opportunity to press for starting places," he told the Townsville Bulletin.

The Fury's first match of the 2010/11 season is against the Perth Glory at ME Bank Stadium on Friday August 6.
