Gordon Strachan has made it clear that he will not send out his Scotland players with the view to hurting Wales ace Gareth Bale.
There have been calls for the Scottish side to stop Tottenham's Bale from running in Friday's World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park by aggressive tackling but Strachan says that is not the way to play football these days.
Strachan insists his players will not take the physical route once used by former Chelsea hard man Ron Harris.
"The days of Chopper Harris are gone. You don't even get a name like Chopper Harris in football now," said Strachan.
"That kind of thing is not going to happen these days."
He added: "I just like watching good footballers and today's surfaces, rules, and everything else, mean the top players in the world have space to play without being kicked out of the game.
"People like to see that. I think that is better for everybody and the same rules apply to us."
