Strachan finds Geneva Convention useful

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan was invited to attend Uefa's elite coaching convention in Geneva during the international break. He exchanged ideas with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, and admits that it was a very worthwhile experience.

"It was good, I really enjoyed it. It was good listening to people," he said.

"We talked about systems, we talked about this and that and how the game should progress and how it will go.

"We talked about what we saw in the European Championship and Champions League last year.

"But it all boils down to good players again, and decision-making by coaches at the right time. It's not changed over the years.

"Every time you speak to a football person you can pick something up, and I was lucky enough to have some fantastic coaches around me."
