Portsmouth chief Peter Storrie has rejected claims they're under pressure to sell players in January.

He said: "People should also remember that, in the summer, we sold Sulley Muntari for a club-record fee of £12 million and Pedro Mendes. But we bought Peter Crouch and Younès Kaboul and, on transfer deadline day, we turned down two big bids for Lassana Diarra and Jermain Defoe.

"So let's get this cash thing in perspective. Sacha [Gaydamak, the owner] has always said the same thing. He finances the club but he is a businessman and if the right offer comes in, he will take that offer. If not, he will continue to fund the football club."
