John Stones will reportedly ask Everton to include a £38million release clause in his contract when he begins talks with the Merseyside club over a new deal.
The Daily Mail is reporting Stones will only put pen to paper on a new deal with the Toffees if they agree to meet that condition.
Everton knocked back four separate offers for Stones from Premier League Champions Chelsea, with the final offer believed to be in the ballpark of £38m.
It is understood Everton boss Roberto Martinez is eager to tie Stones down with a long-term deal, which will see the 21-year-old's weekly salary more than double.
