Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says England can win the World Cup.

Welshman Pulis expects England to be among the favourites at next summer's World Cup finals and he would love to see them lift the trophy.

He said: "I'm an unusual Welshman because I do support England. I'm proud to be part of Great Britain and I like to see all our sides do well.

"Preparations under Fabio Capello will be spot on and, if all his best players stay fit, England will have a real chance.

"The fact it will be winter in South Africa will be very much to their advantage."
