Stokes targets new deal and 100 Celtic goals

Anthony Stokes admits he would love to commit himself to Celtic by signing a new deal.

The 24-year old Irish striker, who joined the Hoops from Hibernian in 2010, notched up his 100th game for the Glasgow giants last month and is now looking to move his goal tally from 46 to the century by remaining at Parkhead for the foreseeable future.

"I was delighted to get to the 100 game mark and I suppose the next goal now is to get 100 goals if I'm round here long enough," he told Celtic View.

"It's been a dream to come here. I was thrilled to get the second opportunity and wasn't going to let it pass me by.

"Hopefully I am in the process of trying to get a contract sorted out at the minute.

"To be honest I just want to get this signed and I am looking forward to another couple of good years here, being successful and winning trophies.

"The last two years have been exceptional for that, especially with winning the league, and we want to keep that up."
