Stoke's Kitson shrugs off England talk

Stoke City striker Dave Kitson has shrugged off talk of an England call-up.

"I've never set a target in my life, I just work by the formula that if you try to get one in two then you are on the level," Kitson told the club's official website.

"So far in my career it is there or thereabouts. I have scored goals in every division I have played in and I have scored in every cup competition which has been open to me.

"I want to make sure I score goals for Stoke City now, and if with that a call up to the England squad happens then so be it.

"But being called up to the national team isn't the most important thing to me right now. The most important thing is Stoke City Football Club."
