Kenwyne Jones has played down suggestions that he has opened contract talks with Stoke City.
The 28-year old striker comes out of contract at the end of the season and it had been suggested that he and the Potters were negotiating a new deal.
But former Sunderland forward Jones insists that nothing has yet begun in regards to sorting out his future.
"That's absolutely wrong,” he told The Sentinel.
"Talks are always welcome. Whether or not you have a resolution at the end of the talks we will see."
