Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham was left in awe of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo after Saturday's 5-0 thrashing.
Higginbotham, once a United trainee, said: "Ronaldo was absolutely brilliant. He's the best in the world, there's no doubt about it. I don't believe he has a weakness.
"People say he dives but he's from a different culture and I've got no complaints about him.
"I'm a United fan but put that aside and I must say they are the best. We've played all the top teams and they are the ones to beat."
