Stoke's Delap refutes jibes of tackling to injure

Stoke City midfielder Rory Delap admits Arsenal's Theo Walcott was too quick for him and the resulting tackle was simply the result of tiredness. Walcott fell awkwardly on his shoulder but is expected to recover from the problem in time for the weekend.

"To be honest, it was more of a tired tackle," Delap told The Sentinel. "I thought I was going to get the ball. He's that kind of player and was too quick for me.

"I wish him all the best and will try to get to see him."
