Stoke yet to reach deal for Galatasaray midfielder Ndiaye

Galatasaray are hoping to complete the sale of midfielder Badou Ndiaye to Stoke City in the coming days, per reports in the British media.

Sky Sports believe that a deal is close, with the English club willing to match the asking price being asked by Galatasaray.

In fact, the Turkish club have released a statement that mentioned transfer activity surrounding the player:

"Badou Ndiaye has received offers from clubs overseas. Badou has been removed from the squad set to face Osmanlispor as he is currently distracted from his on-field duties by the transfer talks."

It appears Stoke are close to his signature, but there will be competition from other clubs within Europe. Galatasaray's general manager also weighed in on the matter:

"Ndiaye said he wanted to go, that the proposal was attractive."

"(Head Coach) Fatih (Terim) has acted like a father to him and told him we need him, but there are some serious offers and, if our footballers want to go, you cannot force anyone to stay."
