Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is set to land Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Daily Mail says Hughes is poised to sign Guidetti from Manchester City on Monday.
Hughes has agreed a deal to take over Stephen Ireland's contract from Aston Villa and once that is signed off will complete a loan for 21-year-old Swedish striker Guidetti.
The Manchester City forward has been one of the most in-demand loans on the market and will represent a coup for Hughes with West Ham, Real Betis and Malaga among the other clubs who wanted him.
