Stoke City winger Brek Shea admits he may have to seek another loan move this month.
Shea's deal with Barnsley was cut short this week after falling out with fans.
USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann has warned the winger he needs to be playing first team football to be considered for the World Cup.
"He's told me to get more game time," said Shea, "and when I do that he'll be a little bit more happy with me.
If I'm playing well and fit I should be there, in my mind.
"That's not always what happens, but if I'm playing well I should be there.
"I really want to go because I enjoy playing for my country and playing a World Cup in Brazil is a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
