Stoke City winger Jermaine Pennant has explained the story behind his left-behind Porsche in Zaragoza.
He revealed his eagerness to link up with the Potters was the real reason he ditched the car.
He explained: "I had to drive to the station to take a train to Madrid and then a flight to England. When I signed on loan for Stoke I didn't have time to go back and sort it out.
"It was only left at the station for three weeks not the five months I've read about.
"The plate was Spanish so no one knew it was my car and Zaragoza never called me about it. But I did get a ticket that came to 480 Euro.
"But for 400 quid it was worth it to come to Stoke so it was a bargain!
"My friend is now looking to sell the car.
"I drive a Ferrari here - it gets me about!"
