Stoke winger Kightly seeking to rebuild self-belief

Stoke City winger Michael Kightly admits his confidence took a big hit last season.

Kightly is hoping for a fresh start under new manager Mark Hughes.

"Yes, my confidence took a massive whack last season, and I'm trying to get that back because I know I can play at this level.

"I think it's an issue I had myself with confidence and it's one I need to work on. I believe that, if I am confident, I can do things for the team."
