Stoke City winger Matthew Etherington has urged Jonathan Woodgate to accept manager Tony Pulis' decision to leave him out of their Europa League draw at Dynamo Kyiv.
Etherington, who also stayed back for treatment ahead of today's Premier League match at Sunderland, insists boss Pulis gets those big decisions right.
He said: "The manager signs players here who have something to prove - he's said himself that it's a bit like the Battersea Dogs Home - which is a nice way of putting it.
"He seems to know just how to help players get their form and fitness back whatever problems they have had before."
