Stoke City are ready to offer £12 million for Birmingham City defender Scott Dann.

The Sun says Potters boss Tony Pulis is keen on the centre-back, 24, and is prepared to pay big money for him.

Stoke expect former Brum boss McLeish to try for Dann when he finally takes charge at Aston Villa.

Liverpool are also interested but boss Kenny Dalglish has slight concerns over Dann's pace.
