Stoke will sign Sunderland striker Jones for record fee

Stoke City will sign Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones for a club record fee of £7 million.

Jones, who was on loan at the Britannia Stadium five seasons ago, is due to return as the costliest player in the Potters' history, eclipsing the £5.5million paid out to Reading for Dave Kitson two seasons ago.

The Trinidad and Tobago international has fired only sporadically since Steve Bruce has taken charge on Wearside.
