Stoke City whizkid Julien Ngoy has revealed AS Monaco wanted to sign him last summer.
The Belgian admits Monaco wanted to sign him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe after his move to PSG.
Ngoy told La Deurniere Heure: "PSG began to become concrete for Mbappé. Monaco got in touch with my agent. But it dragged on and finally, it did not happen.
"We are both players who bet on our speed and love one against one. After this contact with Monaco, I finally re-signed a new contract until 2022 in Stoke.
"I want to break in there and next season will be very important to me."
