Stoke City veteran Rory Delap was shocked by the behaviour of Besiktas fans this week.

The Potters' stars had coins and lighters thrown at them throughout Wednesday's game in Istanbul.

A frustrated Delap was angry that Stoke had to play while being targeted.

He said: "There were coins coming on, and if that happened in England it would be a massive thing.

"We shouldn't have to put up with it, but we knew what to expect."
