Stoke City are ready to move on from talks for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.

The Daily Mail says Sakho faces being frozen out at Liverpool if he doesn't leave the club on loan this week.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has a good track record at getting the best out of high-maintenance players such as Craig Bellamy and Robbie Savage.

But with Sakho undecided, Stoke are also looking at Bayer Leverkusen's Greece defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
