Stoke City have announced that John Coates will become the club's new vice-chairman.
In an announcement on their official website, the Potters revealed that Coates will step up to the role after Keith Humphreys removed himself from the Club's Board of Directors.
Chairman Peter Coates said: "John and I have run the Club together since bet365 purchased the Club in 2006 and his appointment as Vice-Chairman serves to formalise his involvement.
"We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with both Tony Scholes and Richard Smith to further develop the Club.
"Keith has been on the Board of Directors for more than three decades and his passion for the Club he has supported since he was a small boy has never wavered.
"He feels the time is right to relinquish his role on the Board and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his unstinting support and efforts over the past 30 years.
"Stoke City has been and will continue to be a huge part of Keith's life, and he will keep his close association with the Club going forward."
