Stoke target Ledley happy at Cardiff

Cardiff City winger Joe Ledley insists he's not angling for a move to the Premiership.

Ledley, a target of Stoke in the summer, played in Cardiff's 1-0 win against Plymouth at the weekend as the team moved into fourth in the Championship.

With the transfer window opening on Thursday, the 21-year-old is adamant he is happy with the Bluebirds, and has backed to the club to gain promotion.

"I have heard nothing from the club or my agent and I don't believe that Plymouth was my last game for the club," said Ledley in the South Wales Echo.

"I have an 18-month contract to run and I have always said that my ultimate dream would be to play for Cardiff in the Premier League.

"That dream has not changed. We're playing really well and heading in the right direction in the Championship, so all my focus and energy is channelled into Cardiff City.

"The players feel this is going to be our season to go to the next level. Over the last couple of seasons we have been there and thereabouts, but the squad is stronger this time around."
