Stoke City manager Mark Hughes still has his sights on Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer.
West Bromwich Albion are mulling over whether they will continue with a £15m deal for the Austrian, but they now face competition from the Potters.
The Baggies have sanctioned a move for Wimmer, should Pulis decide to use a large chuck of his transfer fee on the 24-year old.
Wimmer has struggled to establish himself at Spurs since joining from FC Koln in 2015, having made just 15 Premier League appearances for the north London club.
