Stoke City are eyeing Willem II midfielder Ali Messaoud.

The Sentinel says Dutch sources have linked the 24-year-old with Stoke and Premier League rivals Swansea City.

The midfielder has been with Willem since 2013.

Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Burnley are also said to be circling - and he has insisted he is heading nowhere to sit on the bench. "Playing time is the most important thing for me," he said. "But I prefer to take a step at as high a level as possible. Getting better is the priority."
