Stoke style impresses Adam

Charlie Adam is revelling in the fact that Stoke City are now actually starting to play football.

The Potters were known for the physical, long-ball brand under Tony Pulis but things have changed under Mark Hughes and the Scottish midfielder is loving it.

"When you are playing it is different. It is easier when you are enjoying it and the team is playing well," he said in the wake of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

"That is the important thing. Hopefully we can continue that and finish as high as we can, do ourselves proud and better what we did last year.

"We are playing well, we are enjoying it. We are trying to play as well as we can and get results and we are doing that so far this year.

"It has been a tough start but we have got points on the board and we are happy."

He added: "This is another step in the right direction after two good wins before the international break.

"It is a good way to come back, to get a good point against a very good side. Now we go again, to Arsenal next week. Hopefully we can improve again."
