Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters hit the winner against Orlando City yesterday.

Walters scored a first-half winner as Stoke overcame Orlando City 1-0 at the Citrus Bowl in Florida on Saturday.

The Republic of Ireland striker crashed a volley past Miguel Gallardo from a Peter Crouch knock-down shortly before the break.

Stoke had Whelan dismissed after two quick bookings for a foul on Rodrigo Lopez and a scuffle with former Potters player James O'Connor.
